New from ASEA:

The Instrument Pool

At the Adelaide Steiner Education Association (ASEA), we believe music plays an essential role in a child’s development. To support families in the Steiner streams at Trinity Gardens School and Sheidow Park School, we’re excited to introduce our newest initiative: the ASEA Instrument Pool.

A Growing Community Resource

This initiative began with the generous donation of two cellos (½ and ¾ size) from a former Trinity Gardens parent. Already in use by member families, these instruments have proven a wonderful starting point. Our aim is to grow the collection to include a range of string instruments and recorders, supporting every child’s musical journey.

How It Works

As a volunteer-run organisation without a central storage space, we use a simple, community-based model.

Loan
Instruments are loaned at low cost to families who need them.

Care

Families store and care for the instrument while it is in use and continue to care for it until a new home is found once the loan period ends.

Membership

An active ASEA membership is required to access the pool.

How You Can Help
We’re currently seeking donations of violins, violas, and cellos (sizes 1/8 and up) and recorders suitable for Steiner music programs. If you have an instrument no longer in use, consider passing it on to support another child.
